I came to the fitness industry after a personal health scare in 1999 and like most people I reassessed my lifestyle. I joined the centurion in 2000 as a member and took a personal interest in exercise and the fitness industry. In 2005 I decided to change my career to work in the fitness industry and re-trained as a fitness consultant. I joined the Centurion in the summer of 2005 as a part time fitness consultant and in 2008 became the Assistant Health Club Manager. I have a passionate interest in helping others to improve their fitness and lifestyles. I love the gym environment and I believe that exercise should be a fun and enjoyed by all.
I was born in Devon and moved to this area with my family in the early 1970's.
My career at the Centurion started in 1994 as a temporary receptionist. I then transferred to the Fosseway Indoor Bowls Centre but eventually came back to Club Reception.
Having had several careers in the past I came to fitness later in life. I started using gyms in 2002 after being referred to a physiotherapist to rehabilitee an arm injury. Very soon I started to feel the benefits and decided to retail as a fitness consultant in 2003. I joined the Centurion Fitness team in 2004 and really enjoy working here. The social side of the club means that I have many friends who are members and love the family atmosphere of the club. I have seen the club grow and develop and am proud to be part of the team here.
I retrained as a fitness consultant and personal trainer in 2010 and joined the fitness team here at the Centurion in September of the same year. I have always been very active and enjoyed the outdoor life as well as being a regular gym user. Having achieved my own goals and overcoming some personal barriers I feel passionate about wanting to help others achieve theirs. I particularly enjoy meeting and working with all our members. I’m always actively involved with the social aspects of the gym and love my running, boxercise and circuit classes.
